Sorry but it’s time for Chief and Griffiths to go, inept on defence and attack.
Bring in Des if he’s available, otherwise Ifill has to be the go.

You're so wrong. Chief, yes. Griffiths? He turned our defense around when he arrived and was instrumental in our success last year. And this season we had the 3rd best defense in the league getting into this one.
Give him a shot at the big time or keep him on to support the next coach.

When Auckland are holding silverware at the end of the season it's going to ask some extremely tough questions of the Nix.

Can we afford Des?
No and he probably wouldn't want to touch us with a badge pole at the moment.

With all the money we made selling our players, yeah.

Can we afford Des?
nope. and he wouldn't come.
we have the budget for a rookie.

A bit harsh. Auckland on paper and on the field just have a much better squad.

Let's hope Marco doesn't get injured again

Think the long throws are a waste of time against a big physical defence like AFC's.

Oh great. Rojas to come on and absolutely make sure he’s injured for the rest of the season.

you're right about their budget. we dont have that, so we have to build something. we started in 2007 and have never built anything that has come close to the title. we build mini teams each season and see how we go. then we build another one the next season. every other club has come close or won it. we're sitting here watching while yet another first year club makes us look super average.
so, i agree with you. and i am also, as a kiwi, loving what auckland are doing. but what a actual heck are we doing?

This is the point.
We’ve been in the league approaching 20 years. We’ve never even made a grand final.

Western United have a poor squad on paper and are having a great season and beat them. Perth Glory may have a poor squad and be having an awful season but they beat Auckland too. Adelaides squad isn't much stronger than ours on paper yet they're way up the table and almost beat Auckland too.
About half the league is running on threadbare squads reliant on youth products and yet on form we are perhaps the worst and definitely the most boring and least creative.
Should we have strengthened the squad more? Absolutely. Is the squad strength an excuse for the abysmal football we are playing? Absolutely not.

I don't like it when fans get overly negative and go at each but seriously mate.
"and have never built anything that has come close to the title."
We were incredibly close to the title last year.

I’m sorry, what? We made the semi final. That is not “incredibly close to the title”.
This mentality is why we have never won anything as a club.

Rufer, Chico, Rojas, Barbs all on the field at the same time we'll smash city on Friday.

This is actually straight up negligence from Chiefy throwing LBS and Walker into this dumpster fire. You have a duty of care.

i'm not going at tim, not even close
and I also respect, but disagree, with what you have said

Wonder if we should be under investigation for throwing games. First LBS, now Payne.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Well I said earlier this game could change our season. This could well make it worse. I feel for the players.

i think also that, as a coach, if you decide to play like we have this season. you have to expect to be judged poorly if it does not work

My bad I thought first in the league was the title most football fans careful about (which we were 2 points off from winning).
And what's with your obsession with telling fans that them seeing positivity in rough times is why we have never won anything as a club? Me not wanting to be always ultra negative doesn't affect how the players play on the field.

When have those long throws from Piper ever worked?
Costa will get on the end of one eventually

First time I've said it openly. Chief out.
He's been unlucky with the club's transfer decisions. But he also choose to build a team around Marco, and as much as I appreciate the sentiment as a day 1 fan, that was ill advised. Also, he's responsible for the way we've set up this year which has not been good enough, plain and simple.
We've got to keep our best players for next year and build on what is a promising core of young (and not so young) Kiwis.
But we need a fresh start.

Auckland will do it in 1 year. We’ve not done it in 17.
How do you feel about that?

Mate, if you enjoyed anything at all about today, I'd be curious to take a peek at your browsing history...there's gotta be some BDSM/masochism videos in there 😅🤣
