Kopgoff, you're a champion, thanks so much. That was a great way to watch the football. A sea of red!

Were more Reds there than I could have ever imagined this soon after getting up and running. LFC Wellington is the fans, and whatever happens now, they'll never take last night away from me. Still buzzing.
Re the game, thought we could have put it to bed earlier, but like the WHU game we showed such determination and heart. Dare to Dream, this is OUR time!

Liverpool beat City 3-2. Liverpool are top. My friend calls. Friend has supported Liverpool for about fifty years. He called to moan about the result and Brendan Rodgers' ability.    *shaking my head*

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

What a game, atmosphere and result.  Showed great character to come back at city after giving up the two goals.  Really thought city had us on the ropes.

Loved seeing Stevie keeping the team grounded right after the match as well as the aftermatch interview with shreeves. Class

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_U7OHyKqNg&feature=youtu.be

Also quite fitting that the game had 6 added minutes on the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough.   YNWA

Finally got round to thinking clearly about the City game. This week has been pretty hard for me for a number of reasons.

We were lucky. Owned the first half but City is a good side and Silva is a magic wee player. I've never rated Milner but his introduction made a real difference. But , and this is a key difference for me from past seasons , there seems to be a real belief in this side that this is their year. Last year we'd have lost this ; not this year. The pace up front has been well documented but there is a real stell in this side which has been lacking. I'm thinking especially of Coutinho and Flanno. Coutonho's skill is not questioned , but his defensive capabilities may have been . He was huge. And Flanno is a pure tackling machine, cut Navas in half ( I think it was Navas) .

Can they go all the way? Yes , but Gerro is bang on- Norwich is the most important game in the world . For now.  But shark , Jr and I are having a blast this season!!

Just noticed at the Hillsborough Memorial service at Anfield, in the photos.....

https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/161248-anfield-memorial-service-in-pictures

A long way in, following the photo of the 96 red balloons being released from the field..check the photo with our three distinguished gentlemen in amongst the scarves.. Look just below and to the right of Ian Rush...

and spot the Wellington Phoenix scarf. Who ever was responsible, well done You.

The thing that I have been thinking about is that this game has now made us favourites. This is the first time in a looong time we have been favourites and is probably a lot different from being the underdogs which we are so used to (including 2005 Istanbul).  I hope that we don't choke in this position. Pretty scary but sooo freaking exciting too.

 Cheers for that PaulM!
It is one small scarf among many but I personally found it very moving that those of us who are YF and Nix fans were represented, because someone made that effort...Outstanding!
! didn't have time this am and was hoping someone with skills would sort it. I see Dura was onto it this a.m. too on Twitter.
He tweeted the pic with all the scarves in it.If you look at that pic its in the middle row with the Irish scarf in front.

8% chance of winning

still as likely to be 6th as 4th

by all means finish ahead of Spurs and MUFC though.

Bugger me , that was a nervous performance. Brilliant start , looked fabulous and the pace/movement up front was simply too much for Norwich. Sterlings first goal was fantastic and his pass for Suarez's was sublime.

Foot came off pedal a bit  , and also I think credit has to be given to Norwich- they didn't bum up and came and played really well , especially in second half. The fluidity in our play disappeared and often it seemed as if our only outlet was Sterling. But job done.

CHanges for Chelsea- I think we might see Agger in at back but we'll see.

Kopgoff , thanks so much for setting that up. Jr and I had a blast and can't wait til the Chelsea game. Cheers for organising it , especially with the extra hassle of yesterday.
