can bang a couple in we were well on our way. Do you reckon wenger will buy anyone in jan???

How do you feel about our keeping status? If Jens is not getting starts and is not prefered by Arsene, I see him leaving. On the other hand, I am not totally convinced about Almunia. Not going by one or two rash decisions, still keen on him being given an actual shot - but is he a world class keeper?  I do rate Fabianski, from what I have seen (and that youtube video. I see him as our number one keeper, in maybe 1/2 years..

...So maybe we could look into a proven world class keeper, but nothing really springs to mind. If Juventus do not make CL this year, maybe Buffon would look to leave. (I wish) Who knows. Do you?

Otherwise I can't see much more going on. Would like a left footed left winger but dont see it happening. Although Merida is left footed and he is quite good from what I have heard.

A left-footed winger would be good. Keeper I'm not so concerned about. We can use Almunia this year for the big games, Fabianski for the lesser games, then he can step up next season if he performs.

Wenger is obviously concerned about the keeping position otherwise he wouldn't say Almunia has 2 games to prove that he is a keeper that can win a title.

Three for me, and two for them.

I dont think it will be an immediate problem, but who knows how Al will go if he has to survive a whole season if jens is not given #1 back. Fabianski is obviously a great replacement for the future, but in the mean time maybe we could do with better. by all means, i have not given up hope on big al - but i do know that world class keepers can win games like that game vs man u NZgooner2007-11-06 19:41:57

Toure, Fab 4, Rosicky and Hleb being left out of CL squad against Slavia Prague. Toure and Rosicky have slight injuries but should be back for Reading game.
RVP and Big Phil are about 2 weeks away from fitness.
Walcott and Eduardo could start alongside Ade for Slavia game. I'm guessing its not being shown on Sky??

Mania has the best pre-match threads imo. A good read when at work :)

Me too but he would cost too much. Far out rosicky's injured again shocking. The champions league game will be a good test for some of the fringe players. Song playing centre back i'm not too sure about that. Would have to see deneilson n silva in the mids

WE have been linked with Jussi Jaaskelainen the bolton keeper. He is decent and could go sight into the starting 11. Also liverpoo just won 8-0

Half time and it's 0-0. Sounds like we're not up to much tbh. We've had 1 shot on goal all half and that was off-target. However, we have had 59% of possession. I expect we're tiring them out then will put in a late goal or two to seal our entry into the next round.

I'm surprised Lehmann didn't get a start. Would have been a chance to get him match fit.

I really think he's off in jan but then again wenger is always full of suprises LOL. It would have been awesome if reyes wasnt such a baby and stayed with us he could have been a real star

Yeah unless things go horribly wrong we are through to the next round. I am a little disappointed in Eduardo's ineffectiveness tonight. I thought he might be a bit better playing in the East.

damn, i hate having to wait untill tuesday morning to watch our "weekend" game. I guess it gives us a bit longer to rest players like Toure & Rosicky. Then its fingers crossed we dont get any more injuries over the next international break.

I'll just be hoping for a win. We're entering November which has always tradiionally been a dodgy month for Arsenal. Leading in with 3 draws in a row isn't a good sign. Hopefuly the lads will do the job and take us back to the top....with a game in hand remember.

Sounds like Reading have parked 11 men behind the ball for some enthralling anti-football.

Playing Ade alone upfront is an odd decision too.
