I used to agree with below but i think Nacho gives us a good balance

3) Bellerin, Mertesacker, Kosc, Gibbs is my preffered back 4

Yeah this. I'd rather we won the Europa than go through this bollocks again and again. Don't know why some Arsenal fans turn their noses up at it, as if we are above it. Our European record is shambolic, 1 EL (although it is often not counted towards the EL, rather a seperate earlier comp called the Fairs Cup) and 1 CWC is a poor return for the 3rd most successful club in England. We're here to win trophies, and big days out for finals at Wembley or even in Europe will always provide greater memories than scraping top 4 or another last 16 run in the CL.

Three for me, and two for them.

Qualifying for the CL is more about having the ability to attract top players again for next season.

I know, I know - Man U didn't qualify; but they still have much more pulling power (and money) than we do.

I still prefer Gibbs, I think he's better going forward & is on par defensively with Monreal.

Gibbs didn't have a great game last night, but neither did the team.

Against Palace I thought Monreal was poor too.

Hard to compare based on those matches!

Seen this post on another Arsenal forum and can't really argue with it:

There is something rotten in Ashbhrton. Normally, I'd say blow up the team because of institutionalised mediocrity. However, we've seen this shark enough times to know that Wenger will just do it again and give us new Reyeses, new Denilsons and new Gallases. He's a rubbish manager. The only solution is to sack him. I'd actually sack him right now to send a message that we will not stand for this kind of garbage. I honestly don't care if we finish top 4 and keep him. There is nothing interesting about seeing this bullshark every year. Finish 2nd in group, get knocked out in last 16. Scrape top 4. Give the team to Bouldie, tell him to man up. And then hunt for a manager starting today. And be willing to take a risk on the bloke we select.

Saying Wenger is a rubbish manager loses a bit of respect, but the rest I can't argue with.

While I can see why he wants the supporters to get behind the team (obvious one), the head of AISA is well wide of the mark with his statement. They are just another fan group that are in bed with the dictatorship being run by the club at the moment.

Yesterday was the first time I have removed my Arsenal shirt after a match as I was too embarrassed to be seen in it.

Never be embarrassed to wear the shirt of the team you support.

Bad news, Coquellin broke his nose & Jack's had a minor operation on his ankle, and Ramsey + Arteta are still out. Flamini should be close to being back, but I'd be getting that man a face guard for Monaco & United!

So surgery on the ankle presumably means that's Wilshere done for another season. Let's hope he doesn't become another Diaby, but just like him the ankle seems to have fudgeed him.

Great result this morning. Didn't think we were going to hold out at the end but thankfully got the second goal. Despite the early mistake against Lukaku Gabriel had a pretty impressive game. Ospina was really solid too. Thing just feel comfortable with him and you don't worry about a brain explosion like with Szczesny. Probably still need someone top class ahead of both of them but I'm happy with Ospina remaining there for the remainder of the season.

Edit: Also was listening to the latest Tuesday Club on the bus this morning and interesting comments from Alan Davies about being invited to the screening of the Invincibles Documentary last week. Said Ox was the only current player who turned up and Sol told him that he really cares about the club and wants to know all the history etc. Would have thought it important for most of the squad to see. At least some of the younger ones who may not have much appreciation of it. I got to work at this point and stopped it so he may have said more.

I'm actually in disagreement with you. I think a Ospina got lucky today and is just as prone as Szy to doing stupid things. You just haven't seen one from him yet. But the stats don't lie for now but I would suggest it's an injury or bad game away from Szy becoming number one again. RE Jack Wemger confirmed its a minor op and is two weeks max, they were removing buttons whatever they are

Massive 5 games that set us up for an amazing or horrific end of the season.

5 games in 15 17 days, thank goodness Jack is back oh crap Jack is out and we've lost our Coq. Don't imagine Rambo, Arteta, the Ox, or Debuchy will be back for any of these.

It was claimed that wilshere would only be out for days rather than weeks, supposed to only be minor.

But yea our track record on those claims aint great!

I want to see Ox in midfield in some upcoming matches.

phew, we were looking very light on troops. Rambo will still need to be slowly brought back into the fold so he doesnt redo his injury again.

shame coq got his face mushed. he was one of the few players who has consistantly stood up this season for me.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

oh sh*t I have already assumed ESPN will come to the party and booked leave!
I'm sure they will, there are no other games on that morning.

The shirt leaking has begun already...

http://arsenal-mania.com/leaked-photos-reveal-arse...

Not sure if real obviously, but does look all quite official.

Although the writer of that article doubts that we'd have a maroon shirt, I wonder if that's actually legit - it will be the 10th anniversary of our last Highbury season next season...

^ on second look that away shirt looks a bit photo-shopped...

anyhow...

some interesting stats

Since coquelin made his first start of the season on Dec 28, he leads the league in intercepts and winning duels, and is 2nd to Zabaleta for tackles... impressive

3points, Bellerin and Coquelin were very good i thought......Coquelin doing a misplaced backheel pass in the 93rd min was annoying. Goal should do alexis some good. I dont know why wenger didnt put theo on, he needs a bit of game time that boy.

So this ^

Man I am sick and tired of seeing f*cking van persie's face whenever we play them. At least he'll be out injured this time.

That game is scaring me already. Maybe I'd be better off just ignoring it and finding out the result rather than sitting through it... I'll probably have a heart attack.
