What time ?  Better be Midday as most of us will want to be at the Stadium by 16:00.

I'll have words with people.

Ive asked for it to be moved earlier. Up to Naenae now. Down for 2pm the mo. Hopefully I have served my suspension by then.
If you want to use our stuff and buy one of our pies, then earlier the better.  I will have to be at the stadium at 2pm. 11am ko maybe? Let me know. Off skiing now for the rest of the week

Monkeyboy, Scotty, make sure it's early.

Why would they drop you down a grade for a lost cause ?

Marius and LivPFan are making me play.
Nah dunno if I can yet. Would be keen though after not playing for two weeks

Not so fussed if you "play" or not. But, would be good if you could continue this red mist habit of running around and kicking brutal lumps out of people.

Why dont you do a man marking job on that Scouser Henderson who has scored about 400 goals?

ive got a question for karori - or anybody who cares

if karori 2nds get relegated and kaori dreamers top 2 cap 3 who then becomes karori 2nds

if i remember rightly dreamers have come in the top 2 of cap 2 for the last few years but your not allowed 2 teams from the same club in cap 1, so dreamers have always missed out - what will karori be doing this year if the way things are going stay the same? maybe the dreamers are happy staying in cap 2 but this will be intresting.

hopefully this will be the case - as the seconds are not looking too safe. Depends on whether the Dreamers want to play in Cap 1. They dont train, and tun up to games about 5 minutes before kick off - so it will be a bit of a pss take. However, unless the current batch of players in the second team show some dedication - then it could be a possiblity.

Shouldn't be a problem. Island Bay United should be there next season anyway.

Another Question, If University firsts get relegated from capital 1 and there 2nds get promoted from capital 3 to capital 2 as well are they allowed to teams in capital 2 or what happens there?

Should be very interesting at the end of the season, with all the permutations that could happen with various clubs moving up and down.

9. Promotio n/Relegation

1) General Provisions:

a) In promotion/relegation matters, promotions are always completed first,

then relegations are made as required.

b) Clubs are only permitted to have 1 team in each of Champs Premier

League and Capital 1 divisions

2) In Champs Premier League the following will determine

promotion/relegation:

a) the winning team of Capital 1 will be automatically promoted (if eligible

for promotion), and

b) the team finishing second in Capital 1 (if eligible for promotion) will

playoff with the team finishing ninth in Champs Premier League

c) if the winning team of Capital 1 is not eligible for promotion, the team

finishing second in Capital 1 (if eligible for promotion) will playoff with

the bottom placed team of Champs Premier League

d) If neither of the teams finishing first and second in Capital 1 are eligible

for promotion, the highest eligible team in Capital 1 will playoff against

the bottom placed team in Champs Premier League

e) when more than two teams are required to be relegated from Champs

Premier League, the team from Capital 1 involved in the playoff will

playoff with the team which is last in line for relegation.

3) In Capital 1 League, the following will determine Relegation:

a) the winning team of Capital 2 will be automatically promoted to Capital 1

(if eligible for promotion), and

b) the team finishing second in Capital 2 will playoff with the team finishing

ninth in Capital 1 (if eligible for promotion)

c) if the winning team of Capital 2 is not eligible for promotion, the team

finishing second in Capital 2 (if eligible for promotion) will play off with

the bottom placed team in Capital 1

d) If neither of the teams finishing first and second in Capital 2 are eligible

for promotion, the highest eligible team in Capital 2 will playoff against

the bottom placed team in Capital 1

I didn't realise that there was a promotion/relegation match for Cap 1 - Cap2 (i.e 2nd of Cap 2 vs 2nd last of Cap 1 normally)

Or am I just reading that wrong?
Permalink Permalink

your reading it correctly, the the reason is because karori dreamers have won cap 2 for the last few years so the 2nd team in cap2 has got promotion ie. stokes valley - so there hasnt been need for a play off game.

Weren't Seatoun involved in a Cap1/2 play-off game a couple of years back? Or am I having a bad dream.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Petone won Cap 2 the year before. If I remember correctly they were unbeaten, scored 58 and conceded 6. Only dropped 2 points all season (0-0 with Upper Hutt at Harcourt. Wouldn't have scored in a brothel that day). Beat warfies 3-1 at Petone Memorial and 4-0 at Newlands Park.
Correct me if I'm wrong

Its no longer a problem.

I think you are right, with Petone heading up to the central league (and no-one replacing them from the CL) only 1 team went down from Prem-> Cap 1 (BNU). Miramar 2nds and Marist got promoted from Cap 1-> Prem and I think people have been saying it was Stokes Valley who got promoted from Cap 2-> Cap 1.

Wainui I think came last in Cap 1 and are certainly making full use of their survival

Certainly was, didn't realise you were 1-0 up with 4 mins to go, a couple in the dying minutes looked like daylight robbery!- Wanui, if they hadn't snatched at almost every chance they made for themselves, may have deserved more out of the game

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

if daylight robbery means picking the ball up at halfway, turning, skinning the back three and leaving them for dead to slot past the oncoming keeper - then that is a fair description

north wellington 1 olympic 1

amusing and pretty entertaining. north welly scored first, before olympic proceeded to wind themselves up - on and off the field - almost, but not quite, to the point of terminal self-destruction. in the midst of a torrent of verbal rubish from the sideline, some lad got himself sent off for a two footed challenge (possibly a bit harsh to get a straight red, but a dumb challenge).

then some clown on the olympic bench (I think he'd spilt straight out of a Romford nightclub), whod been talking bollocks and puffing his chest out all game, got himself into a verbal joust with the North Welly sweeper and the ref, plus possibly the lino. end result was a well deserved send off.

in fairness to olympic they did well to pull back an equaliser with only ten men and made it an even contest - at least until the last 15 minutes when they got tired and North Welly were v unlucky not to get the winner - one off the post then scrambled off the line (some premature celebration on NW's part), another off the post and a couple headed over the bar. Phil Barton rolled back the years with some quality touches when he came on.

Ye ur right there great result considering Olympic had a few key players out however did very well with 10 men to come back and equalise and get a draw.
Very young referee and loved to show his cards. At times did alrite but really never had control of the game.
As for the redcard for the player on the bench haha, he didnt even do anything wrong. Everyperson from both bench were verbally abusing the opposition and really didnt think a red card justified this. Wouldnt call him a clown or try take the pis out of him caz he is pretty much half animal and eat u alive so ye.
Apart from that I agree with everything u said I really think North Welly deserved the win but Olympic held on for a very important draw. As for the 1st team 4-0 loss to Palmy well horrible run continues, nothing really to say about them.
Even the half time show was class.

Loved that bling-bling earing, what a douchebag.

Another showing of why Olympic are told week in, week out on this board that they are the worst behaved team in the area, pretty despicable stuff, especially from the bench. However, I will hand it to them they battled it out very well to secure the point, some of their players looked impressive and NW missed a score of good chances to get all three so maybe a fair result at the end of the day.

Naenae totally outplayed us yesterday. That right winger of theirs is very handy, possibly the best player in the grade. A couple of their goals were ridiculous considering the conditions, i would be surprised if that field gets used again this year steelo2008-07-13 20:32:10
