Rang up Ticketek chasing this today as had not heard anything. Shelley told me that due to a cockup all the renewals had been charged the full amount by mistake (instead of the one third part payment it should have been).  she offered to get the Manager to make a manual refund (i'm not holding my breath on this!)

Update: My credit card got credited on 6th July with four refunds of $130 (this does add up to the total of $520 that was taken in error, but it bemuses me that Ticketek seem to have to do everything in such a cock-eyed way!).  Of course this just missed my statement date (in spite of me ringing every day giving them a daily countdown!) meaning I've had to pay it off the card anyway to avoid interest charges (hence mucking up something else!)  and will now have a credit on the card this month (fat lot of use that is!).

Now you've probably guessed the next part! Yes they now have taken no money from me at all, so of course I'm now worried that I'll never actually get to see any season tickets!

On 15th July Shelley told me that the first payment of 3 ($190.10) would be charged to my card asap. I'm sure you can guess the next bit too - no payment taken yet! (though of course internet banking can be pretty slow in showing up credit card payments).

I thought I'd leave it for a week (I actually hate hassling people!), but now I'm really getting worried, and having left messages for Shelley 2 days running without a response (initially hilarious message about how they are too busy dealing with the rush of season ticket customers is now getting quite offensive after a few listens!) I am now getting well pissed off.

I must say I am definitely not blaming Shelley as she has always been polite and helpful - it's just that she has the misfortune to work for the most cack-awful un-customer-friendly operation on the planet (my words not hers) - I suspect she's gone off sick with stress, or just can't face having to talk to me and apologise yet again!

Tony P surely you can't be happy with this awful shambolic outfit who reflect so badly on the Nix - love the club, hate the crappy ticketing agency, don't expect to get season tickets before season starts

email me tonyp@wellingtonphoenix.com and I will sort it out for you and at the same time sort out Ticketek

Thanks Tony will do - at least you're on the ball, and you certainly respond quicker than S*itetek!

Dunno if this has been asked before. Tony, given that we have had huge problems with Ticketek every year, which obviously reflects badly on the club, is there a contractual obligation to keep using them?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

You have been sorted. You will get your season pass couriered to you.

thanks tony much appreciated, still not happy with ticketek though once you have a pass in your hand you would think everything was ok

Maybe Ticketmaster.

I know they've probably got more office staff, but I've never had any problems with my Warriors season ticket and, as far as I'm aware, they do it themselves.

So Ticketek send one ticket to my correct address and four tickets to my old address. Even though all five tickets were purchased at once. Utterly inept.

Thankfully the Phoenix have some decent staff able to resolve such issues.

Don't get me started. I am having a backward and forward email session with Ticketeks online team about how their website allows internet browsers to remember the credit card numbers of members, by double clicking on the credit card, name etc. field.

I discovered this when purchasing an additional season ticket using a shared computer, I noticed as I started to fill in my credit card number, someone elses automatically dropped down.

They are claiming that legally they are not responsible for the security of computers and that their computer system does not store personal information (DONT WE ALL KNOW THAT?!?!), and they are quite right.

There is however a moral obilgation I would have thought, especially with a big company like Ticketek, to have the highest possible protection of their customers personal information. Banks do it, Trademe does it.

I highlighted this flaw to their web team and got a very snarky, one-and-a-half lined response telling me to change the settings on my Internet Explorer (I use Firefox), and it has continued from there. My last email contained 9 screenshots of my computer, highlighting errors and misinformation given to me by ticketek's employee's. I doubt that it will be taken on board thus I am considering forwarding this concern onto the privacy commissioner.

Their customer service has been rubbish three years in a row. I really REALLY hate giving Ticketek my money because I do not feel that they deserve it. Horrible people to deal with, don't deliver what they say they are going to deliver, treat their customers with contempt - but we have no choice.

I guess that is what really annoys me, I have no choice but to use this service. Please. Something HAS TO CHANGE

+1, why give Ticketec the responsibility if they f**k everything up, take zero responsibility and then leave the club's CEO to clean up the mess.

Why don't the club just do the tickets themselves???

Most UK clubs do their own tickets, and this includes clubs with similar sizes of fanbase.

No booking fee, no messing about.

I bought a season ticket 5 minutes before kick off on the first day of the season at Hibs, and was given the season book there and then! Easy.

Would be a goer for next season I reckon - sell memberships through the Phoenix Store or Ryos/Champs IMO.

There is teh Red Tickets thing too, that does the rugby games. They're through the NZ Post shops

Checked my bank account last night to see that Ticketek have charged for the 9 tickets I ordered to the sum of $1500, but have also charged me $245 + 8.50 booking fee for a seperate transaction I didn't request or want! So Ticketek have basically stolen $253.50 from me!! AM NOT HAPPY & THEIR OFFICE WILL BE HAVING AN ANGRY MAN ARRIVE TOMORROW MORNNG

i wish we had a ticketek outlet in wanganui so i could of been the angry man at a counter i had to do all mine over the phone and online.tried to explain over the phone that i did not like them going back into my credit card to put money back in and then take money back out again.i feel they should only be allowed to do the transaction you requested by buying a pass.if or when they screw it up they should contact you before they go back into your card to see if it is ok with you to do so as you can probably tell i am not a happy camper.how can they stuff up so many season tickets when there are only around 2,000 of them and yet they are able to sell 30,000+ tickets to ac/dc and other concerts.

Any complaint like that would invariably look bad for the Nix - at a time we are trying to sign up members - not a good idea.

As frustrating as it is better to sort out yourself or ask Tony P to step in if necessary - Tony always seems more than happy to fix Ticketec stuff-ups.

he should not have to step in to sort it out every season,i am glad he does it though.but ticketek have had two years to practice so year 3 you would of hoped they could of sorted it out.i agree about it reflecting badly on the nix but i am pretty sure everyone knows ticketek are s**t

I wonder if their management have read this thread? I am guessing they feel that Nix ticket holders only account for a drop of the ocean in terms of their revenue, thus why we seems to be treated with such contempt.

I am getting the sudden urge to email someone in Ticketek management...with a link attached...

I can, and have this weekend, bought tickets online for games in Australia but do you think tickets are available online for the Phoenix games - of course not.

Needless to say the Aussie game tickets are not sold through Ticketec.

Sounds like a bit of a farce really. As others have said, Tony P shouldn't have to sort this stuff out - this mob are a professional ticketing agency who sell masses of tickets EVERY DAY, seemingly without incident, and yet when it comes to Phoenix tickets, they don't seem to have a clue?

To be honest, it is Ticketek who will probably put me off getting a season ticket. If I could walk into Ticketek in the week before the first home game and walk back out with my season ticket, I would. However, I know this won't happen as they seem to take weeks to get made and I would have to muck around with getting normal tickets and getting reimbursed or however it works!

Yeah, I am one of these angry fans!

Total farce, wanted 2 tickets, ended up (apparently) with 4 although I still haven't received any confirmation e-mail, nor my actual tickets that are print at home ezytickets (oh the irony). The only reason I'm about 99% certain I have them is because I actually went into Ticketek down at the Town Hall to ask if my purchase was on the system!

Still concerned when there is no sign of them 10 hours after buying.

To be fair on them, I went in to complain about them charging my credit card for someone else's pass and demanded my money back. They were calm and considerate and I have the money in my account right now, so at least they were efficient on that front. But I'm astonished that they even charged me by mistake for someone completely unknown to me's season pass! I also haven't received the 9 passes I've ordered already!!

Now I already have my nix ticket.

Happily I was one of the first to receive it, although my first time season ticket holding fiancee has yet to receive hers.

However I got an email today saying the following:

Been weighing it up if its worth getting one so could someone help me with the maths?
Student tickets are $145, but how much were they at the gates? because I seem to remember paying adult price.. I'll probably miss 3-5 of the 13 'home' games because of the work commitments so is it worth it?

Just spoke with Ticketek about my issue. They knew nothing. They couldn't even tell me what transactions had been made, or most importantly...THE DATE I MADE THEM...I got told that the person who handles the phoenix tickets is away today and told me to call back tomorrow.

After protesting this, they said they'd leave a message with the nix person to call me, but i'm going to call myself anyway, because it won't get done otherwise.

Unbelievable. Either someone or Ticketek have double charged me, or a system function has sent me an email or SOMETHING, but they can't tell me anything about it???

And what is a Phoenix Admin ticket?

Match ticket prices are up on Ticketek - they look to be the same as last year and the family ticket may actually cost less than last year .

Yellow fever zone ticket prices are;

Adult $25.00 Child (5-16 years) $12.00 Family (2A / 2J or 1A / 3J) $60.00 Student $17.00

At $145 for a season ticket you are better off getting a season ticket if you go to 9 or more games.

If you're going to go to 8 to 10 games I would have thought a season ticket was a good investment - for the games you can't make lend your ticket to a mate and hook in another supporter.

Given the news that walk up prices will remain the same, I am not going to get a season ticket. After the hassle with AC/DC tickets I ain't having more nonsense from Ticketek.

I wishing now that I should have waited before going for the SP as my two season passes in the silver section cost 245 each and now i see the cost of the walk up tickets is the same overall cost - no plans to travel to Chch. Having ordered over a month ago - they have their money yet still waiting. Called them today and was told if the tickets didnt arrive in time for the first game to go to the ticket both and plead my case. I still dont know where I have been allocated and now not making any saving at all. Benefit of season pass is not evident Oh well at least feeling good about the team and kicking some aussies.
