I've done a stupid stupid thing - season tickets (ordered a month ago) still haven't arrived, and I forgot to call and get paper tickets today. Does anyone know if they give them out at the gate as well, or are we going to have to buy tickets?

Ring ticketek and explain. They should email you a ticket. Print it out and take that to the game.

I assume a membership for a toddler. They get in free anyway but with a membership you basically donate $20 to the Nix.

I believe Yakcall has one for his daughter.
I didn't know about it last year or my daughter would've had one.

Toddler just lets them be a season member, she got a season ticket with her name on it as well as the drink bottle, lanyard and fridge magnet. Just more a feel good thing so I can say she has been a member since she was born.

Think toddler and baby where only brought in this year.

Actually change that, think I've got the $20 child one instead because they dropped the price of it and you got more (season ticket to the games) than you do in the baby/toddler one.

I wish they had them last year so my boy could be a season member from birth.

Yeah not sure why that have brought it in now but I'm happy they have! Here is hoping she gets more than a year though and gets to see them play when she can actually follow and enjoy it.

Well it was brought in before season started but yes it does help them increase member numbers

should have bought in pet memberships like other club has done. That is why these metrics are bullshark. They encourage inflating figures artificially and don't actually mean anything when it comes to how well a club is actually performing.

The pet memberships for Sydney are just for show, they are not included in figures

Yeah but they are as relative as Yakcalls for his baby. Because inflating the figures is exactly what we are doing here but it seems to float the FFAs boat.

Maybe next year, to inflate the membership numbers we should have a Nix membership as a discount card at Mojo, Football Central, Reading cinemas etc - basically all the corporate partners give members a discount. Then you might encourage heaps of people to buy memberships just for the discounts but they would count towards the #metrics.

Yep we are doing it because it is what the FFA measures clubs on. Which is fair enough, if the FFA set targets/metrics you have to try meet those targets - no matter how pointless they otherwise are.

The metrics are arbitrary and stupid though.

I'm a wee bit depressed that we still haven't matched last years memberships, even with cheap kids ones and the number bought with the whole last 2 weeks with people buying the memberships form outside NZ to support us, I thought we would have trounced last years by now.

The save the Nix campaign will boost that a bit but that's more or less giveaway memberships.  I've bought twice as many as I did last year (one for me, one for the boy) but f**k.

Not sure when we reached that figure but if people are buy 'NIx six memberships over the summer they still count.

That's fair, but I would have thought with the recent events that all of lasts years members would have put their a into g and bought one this year already.

Think this quite a clever deal from the Hurricanes:

    http://www.rugbymemberships.co.nz/hurricanes/

In a New Zealand first - we've got your back in 2016 with free home finals tickets. Yip, that's right, you back us, and if the team goes the distance, then so do you! If the Hurricanes play any final game (quarters, semi or final) at Westpac Stadium you will receive one free ticket per membership you hold!

Sadly it can't be done in the A-League because the FFA run the finals & take all money from tickets

Explain to me why the fact that the FFA do the finals ticketing means a t can't be done in the ALeague? Why couldn't the Nix sell memberships/season tickets on this basis and (a) buy the tickets off the FFA & give them to the season ticket holders? Or, (b) buy insurance with (say) LLYODS and if they make the finals use that to pay for the members tickets? Think outside the box...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

What they're not advertising is the shabby treatment of Season Ticket Holders and Foundation Season Ticket Holders who have no priority booking for the British Lions match against the Hurricanes (depleted of All Blacks) unless they pay for a two season membership. Also, priority booking for the British Lions Test Match is only available by buying the Elite package for two seasons, an eye-watering $1798 + bf (2 seasons membership at $899 per season)

Price gouging must be the main motivation for this pricing of memberships with access to B Lions tickets. Which looks like an attempt to drive away local fans to satisfy the demand of overseas travelling fans of the B Lions, who will pay higher ticket prices
