Coaching Speculation - The global search to hire Mark Rudan

C'mon Nix, start my week off on a banger and announce the coach. Unless it is JPDM. I'd rather wait another six months for another coach than have him. What are peoples thoughts on Michael Valkanis?

So funny.  Muskrat, JPDM and Mr Greek are all classic football hooligans.  As others have said, we would be foolish to touch any of them.

You'd hope that the guy was so fired up because the Phoenix had told him they gave the job to someone else.

The next time they are here we all run on the pitch and punch Muscat after we won. And excuse us with, hey it's football we all get a bit emotional.

So if we hired JPDM, we don't have a coach for the first 6 games, right?

We'd have to see if Greenie was available for those first 6 games. He's our resident expert on filling in. 

So this out-of-control slapper will have to sit out the HAL final, and the first 3 games of next season, whichever club he's with (hopefully not ours!). Right? 

This is a clear case of a manager assaulting an employee. With video evidence, seen by thousands of people.

If this happened in any other workplace, the 'slapper' would be sacked. Everyone agree with me on this? 

In which case, the really unacceptable thing would be for the Nix to now hire this man as their new coach.

You have to feel for the Phoenix if they have signed him, can't catch a break.

It's assaulting a competitor of your workplace. Even worse, I'd say.

Whoops, not assaulting an employee. Thumping a competitor who's visiting your workplace. However you look at it, it's bad, bad, bad. If we hire this guy now, we deserve all the awful publicity that comes our way.

If JPDM does end up being our coach he would be missing at the start of the new league season for a maximum of two games.

Game One HAL final this weekend

Game Two First round of FFA Cup in July/August which must surely count

If we make our customary first round cup exit, that leaves two games left.  Or less if we somehow get into subsequent cup rounds.

Just heard Muscat quoted on Radio Sport. Apparently, Victory might impose an additional ban on the two coaches. Watch this space.

And if a practice got heated and Slappy got Snappy and slapped a Yappy Flappy, would anyone be Happy?

I still can't quit understand the whole incident. You can't show team officials a red card. Why did the ref do this?

The league sanction for a sent-off coach or manager is normally a ban from being in the dugout or in the changing room for a certain number of matches thereafter. The particular football association determines the length of the ban and/or other appropriate action(s).

so ref can send a coach from the field just will not show a card.

so now he's banned for the final we don't have to wait until his season is finished to make the announcement?

Did the law not change recently? Thought they could be shown cards now. 

Or we can hope the management did proper due diligence on a potential employee & never even considered hiring him.
