we don't have the worst GD, so winning is kley here....get 5th - stay 5th with 3 straight wins, jest, fury and then victory.

still, have to turn the negative goal difference into a positive one. It may come to that by the end of the regular season and would hate that to be the reason we didn't finish in the top 6.

victory clash for me Jan 5 is sooo key for me, especially now with added allsopp.

We gotta get a bring crowd for that one, especially with kids free.

Certainly sounds about right LG, thinking some big market push for the Nix's 50th home game is in order or something?

It'll be the 48th "home game" I think LGM.

So far...

Season 1: 10
Season 2: 11
Season 3: 15 (1 in Palmy, 1 in Chch)
Season 4: 11 (1 in Chch)

Total to date: 47 with 44 in Wellington, 2 in Chch and 1 in Palmy

The 50th home game will be on Janury 30 v Newcastle and the Phoenix's 100th A-League game will be the following week against Adelaide away.

Anyone know the total  win loss draw ratio for the home games and all games? ....must be reasonably good for the home games. The away record would look a bit ugly.

Did not want the Victory to win that.

We have 8 games left...4 home and 4 away. If we win the 4 home we get 12 points. Can't see us winning away against the Roar, CCM or Adelaide. We play Sydney away so apoint is possible coz they are crap but we can't seem to match them away.
So in reality we might nick a draw against Sydney plus the 4 home wins give us 13 points. We would finish the season on 39 points.
The Victory are already on 32 points....with 8 games left it is hard to see them dropping their bundle and finishing on less than 39 points. They only would need 2 wins and a draw out of 8 to get more than our 39.
So you can probably say we are fighting for 6th with the Heart and the Jets.
The Jets are on 25 points with 2 games in hand and the Heart on 27 points and have played 23 games.
We would have to have an amazing run in the last 8 games to make the top 6.....winning all our home games and a couple away. It is possible but highly unlikely. The hot money would be on the Victory and the Jets to make the top 6. Anything other than a win against the Victory makes the job near impossible

Lets hope so, but on current form a Hearts/ Jets win look likely.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
