At least we aren't so separated from the top half anymore.

We establish the definitive A-League record of consecutive home wins and win away for the first time this season, all in a week.
The glass is overflowing....

On the topic of how messy the table is, Perth have another midweek match on Weds (they played last Weds too), but (as I mentioned earlier in the season) have 2 or 3 byes in between weeks 18 and 27. I don't have a problem with 11 teams and byes, but surely the midweek fixtures and byes could be distributed more evenly?

Top 6 has to be the aim now for the season, very bunched mid-table.

oh sure
if they win their next three games they'll be just one point above Brisbane
and their next game is against us, at the RoF
so they are screwed, aren't they
i'd rather be brisbane
or better still, Nix
which I am
so all's good

We can still go for third/fourth place, that's not bad at all.

The A-League fixture list really is a mess, not only the massive discrepancies in games played between some teams at this stage but I'm also left scratching my head at who the Phoenix have played and haven't played (and where). After this Saturday we'll have played 5 out of the other 10 teams twice (Including two games in Perth) before we play the Jets for the first time.
Also, we've only played Fury and Sydney once each so hopefully more points await there as well.
I wonder how other clubs have been affected by this but I can't be arsed looking.

Also, following the Newcastle game, we'll play the Heart for the third time and have still only played one game against five of the other teams.

Yup!....its a total cock up. How are fans meant to follow the table if some teams have played 14 games and others 11?
Its trickier with an odd number of teams but the fixture list is a joke.
Most other leagues on the planet seem to be able to organise a home game followed by an away game and everyone plays each other an even number of times.
The midweek games are tough financially for the clubs coz they never pull in as big a crowd

so just for the sake of a conspiracy theory, do we know if we have more midweek games than other sides??

Keep in mind 3 out of the next 4 matches we play are against the Salties, Tards and Jam Tards

Sorry but I'll show my ignorance here and say that none of that means anything to me. My only question is how many of these games are at home...!

Salties = Salty Sea Dogs = Central Coast Mariners

Tards = f**ktards = Melbourne Victory

Jam Tards = Melbourne Heart

All these matches are at home and we also play away against Newcastle Jets.

All these matches are at home and we also play away against Newcastle Jets.
Plus the Melburnians will be close to us on the table on the same number of games after tonight

so taking points and stopping them taking points is a big deal for us to march a couple of places up the table

big double header week that, but need to set it up tonight

potentially a great four weeks

C'mon Nix

Then Adelaide in Chch and Gld Coast away, so would be good to be stacking up some points

4th worst defense....5th= best goal scoring.
All fairly mediocre. We really need a good run of results between now and Xmas. If we can't pick up max points against the sides that are below us on the table then the season will be over for us b4 Santa arrives.
A 6-0 against CCM would be anice way to get it going!!!!

Hmm. Wheels falling off the Cakes?

Of the teams above us we have been competitive against GCU (at home - by competitive I mean we threw away a 3 goal lead and settled for a draw) and the Tards.

It's one of those odd things that Fury have looked far better in achieving 10 points than we have in getting 15.

We beat the Mariners 2-0 way back at the start of the season too.

Three for me, and two for them.
