Although to be fair, it's what we do here and are very good at.

Still a third of the season left and we can't let up. That Perth result still hurts but we've gone away and won a couple of the road...which is big.

I forget how OK s2 was. Rates as the worst of them from memory. (Obviously I know the table finish was better than s1. Just remember being underwhelmed the most)

looking at that, but not doing any proper anorak- wearing analysis

it seems that in the last two seasons we have done better in the games after game 18 than in that 1st 18 games

hope we can continue that trend especially now that we have broken our away hoodoo

In 08/09 we dropped away really badly with only one win in the last five games (4pts out of a possible 15).

In 09/10 and 10/11 we finished really well, which hopefully bodes well for this year.

Look at 09/10 (same number of games as this season). How happy would we all be if our record for the last 9 games was 6 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses? That would yeild another 19 points, taking us to 46, and probably second or third in the league.

When I think back to the start of the season and all that was going on and no real spark in the recruiting, losing players then all the injuries - How the hell are we sitting 3rd on the table??

We should all be really proud of the effort our Nix have put in so far and let all who will listen known about it.

Wish the Roar weren't playing the Jets next week ,heres hoping for a
miracle there and a win for us here.
2nd place can you imagine!

Our last 9 games, we have CCM twice, Heart twice and the Roar once. Makes for a very interesting run in to the end of the season now.

Basically its in the teams hands if they want it which I know they do, they'll get it.

It is a pity, cause the Jets are propably one of the worst teams in the league.

When do the olyroo's go away for the Olympic qualifiers? CCM, Heart and Roar will lose some important players during that time.

Good point, the commentator mentioned it was soon. Don't the heart in particular have a huge Olyroos contingent?

Olyroos is U23s +3 extras. Unless Dura is one of the top 3 australian players in the world, I would say we're safe.

The overage players are only for the actual tournament. Qualifiers are straight U23s.

Pretty sure the overage players is only for during the tournament itself, and qualifying has to be done by only age eligible players.

Ours to squander now.  The last two or three rounds' results for the other teams have been VERY favourable to us, we can't rely on this to continue.

Pretty sure it's now limited to 3 players per team. Will still make a dent in various line-ups but at least Heart wont lose 6 players as I believe they did previously.

Yeah, FFA said max of 3 U23 players from each franchise, but it will definitely help our cause with some of the other teams losing starting players

That is actually quite a difficult run home. You'd want to target GCU for 3, Heart at home for 3 and perhaps Sydney or Adelaide away for another 3. That would give us 9 points for 38 which would see us qualify for the play-offs. Anything over that I think is a bonus taking an objective view about it.

I think it would be difficult to produce consistent high performances week in week out against what is the toughest run home against quality opposition (its not the planes of ghost every week) and is not in the history of our team performance (although last years end of season run with Rojas was very good, be good to see who we played against)

I am feeling much happier than after the Perf game. We have players in good form and some key plyers have been showing some improved form in the last two weeks, namely Iffy and Brown. Sanchez will return to the good form soon. I can feel it. COYN
