The whole of Australia picked us as wooden spooners this season.....suck on THAT!!!

Can anyone remind me how high we need to finish to get a home semi. 1 & 2 play off then 3 vs 6 and 2 vs 4...correct?

3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5, in your system 5th don't even get a game lol. 4th gets a home playoff. ShowUsYaNix2012-01-04 20:25:37

Top 4 was enough last time wasn't it? Have to win Home & Away finals before hosting Sudden Death should we progress. Would need to be Top 2 to guarantee home Semi Final and potentially Grand Final otherwise we're likely to have to cross the ditch again vis-a-vis the Sydney final 2 seasons ago.C-Diddy2012-01-04 20:26:37

ten minutes late and still w**king on about Jake Oram's injuries and bs T20...on the day Michael Clarke scores a double ton.

1st and 2nd play a home and away playoff, winner get the home grand final. 3rd plays 6th and 4th play 5th, winners of those games play again at the highest ranked teams home ground. Winner of that plays loser of the 1st vs 2nd h&a, winner makes the grand final.

Why would you go browsing a football forum if you're trying to avoid the result?! I won't even go on Facebook or in my non-work email folders if I've got a game recorded, let alone browse the club forums!

I love how even the teams are - if the bottom team beats the top team on the ladder, no one really bats an eyelid. Also love having so few team, so everyone gets a decent chance.

Purple Gs!! Didn't think I'd come across another person on here who drinks them. Mix one with a steiny and you have yourself a Tuatara! [at the risk of losing all mantrol]TopLeft072012-01-05 21:55:24

I know what it is. Its a f**king stupid word. Up there is Nek minnit. Mantrol doesn't even make sense.... I could do one equally stupid like sh*tlet: taking a sh*t on the toilet. Doesn't make it a cool word to use or any f**king sense.

I had an inkling but the excitement got the better of me.

PG fun fact: of all of the Australasian region, Gisborne makes up 35% of all Purple Goana sales. Every sip is like a flashback of my teenagehood.

You can't fence off paradise. Just ask the recent 30,000 festival goers, amazing place.

Although there was an attempt to block off one of the two roads out of there on the 1st, albeit by mother nature.

Oh, come on, Top Left07!
You should know as well as I do, Poverty Bay locals have been fencing the borders off for years, but every summer the same pack of bureaucrats, politicians and ad agency types (who come up with campaigns to foist Purple bloody Goannas AND words like Mantrol and God knows what else on the unsuspecting East Coast populace!) drive straight through the batten and wire gates in their four wheel drive Landrovers, Audis and Beemers!
At least those of us from the opposite coast recognise a Taranaki gate when we see one

Now, where were we? Perth Glory, having just played,  launched themselves on the big silver seagull to Wellington, minus Mehmet (Again! Is he scared of us??) That's going to be a big challenge for them to improve their position on the table. No need for complacency though Nix.
More goals for, less goals against please.
