Thanks Kop, just made my day a little brighter. Can't believe its serious! who designed that, and perhaps more importantly, who decided that was a good idea?!

With adam do we really need him? Where is he going to fit in I certainly don't view him as a winger! Centre mids we have stevie, henderson, lucas, spearing, raul, jonjo, pacheco not counting cole, aqua and poosulsen who will hopefully be leaving! We need wingers! pace and ability to beat a man!

Agree entirely.I like Adam as a player but I'm still yet to be convinced that he  fits the requirement that any new player must be better than what's already there.Unless of course the Raul rumours are true ; I also wonder about Jonjo and Pacheco staying ( my speculation only).
Raul or Adam??
IMO only one answer; keep Raul!!!
Bigger problem for the King- getting rid of dead wood that costs approx 600K a week in wages. Not his fault , but certainly his problem.

I also see that FSG has hired the financial dirctor from Fulham- hope he works out better than the last guy we knicked from there

Feels like a Man City kit, with those baby blue and black stripes. Atleast we have a good home kit and a decent away.

Look at the positive side, no fan is going to buy that crap so it will be gone by next season. Wow what a nightmare decision though

In all honesty if it wasn't a Liverpool top, it would be ok, maybe an Olympic Marseille or Man City. The red flames stick out, but what designer would dare to change the Liverpool emblem to blue, although an all black emblem should've been the option.

Maxi wants out, back to Newell's. But only thing really stopping is he would have to take a huge pay cut.

Also, on Raul rumour, would it be that Leonardo or Moratti wants him as their linch pin at Inter?

you guys might like this one

Roman Abramovic was outside stamford bridge when 3 women came up to him and asked him for his autograph, the first woman lifted her top so he signed her breasts, the second woman pulled down her pants so he signed her ass, the third woman lifted her skirt, he said, "no way, last time i signed a c**t it cost me 50million pounds"

Be a shame to see Maxi go, in my opinion. Good, tidy, player- definitely useful to have in his squad and his intelligent passing and moving would be perfect for the system we are hopefully looking to employ. Would like to keep him around for another year- defo has more to offer than Jova.

Also, I see Soto got an extension for a year- although doesn't necessarily mean he's staying? And Gago's agent is talking us up...

That stripe on that kit is terrible- although agree, it wouldn't be so bad if it was a City or Marseille kit or something; but doesn't look good for our sort of kit at all.

Apparently waaaaay back in the day, we had blue kits? I read somewhere

I wouldn't mid if maxi left if we get mata! Word onthe street is that Adam will sign over the weekend and Downing early next week.

First 4-5 years of existence, Liverpool FC wore a Blackburn like light blue and white. But changed to red and white soon after.

Maxi is a great squad player but nothing more.
Adam > Reds, Raul > Inter, Sneijder > Man U imo.

Sincerely hope Mata is our first priority.

Seems to be close to signing, would be a good signing, but still seems our usual needs are being met, like signing wingers and sidebacks.

Cant say im really disapointed though
almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Glad we missed out on Marveaux. He was the one target we've had so far which I just couldn't work out. His injury track was just horrendous. Ah well, not bothered.

Zapata sounds interesting. Same with Sakho...
almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Agreed, glad we missed out on him. Yip, Zapata, Lovren and Sakho would all be potentially decent signings.

And Mata, sign him up  scored a couple this morning.

Think Hendo could be good for us, Pearce doesn't even use a midfield, so its ridiculous to judge him on that tournament. At least its all over for England.

Sounds like we haven't actually made contact with Zapata.. Just wants a bigger payday?
almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Yeah, exactly

Mmm, yeah, fking class! That guy is gonna destroy the whole tournament. What a player.

If you're familiar with FFP you can skip the first half and start reading about player contracts + transfers etc.

Great article- just makes me laugh at how much I hated accounting at school vs how interesting I found this... Great read though.

Isn't he playing in the Copa L? If yes, supposedly agents say things like what was quoted to create urgency for his sale. Still I hear he is pretty amazing?

Adam done deal this week according to my source!

Note a couple of plays at the end centred around a certain Aqualiani. Wouldn't mind giving him another chance if he's keen.
Some nice passing there. Ah love that game were we played Real off the park.

Argh, that video of build up play won't work for me  But I bet its great to watch- had some truly great moments over the years with Rafa!

Was watching those videos on RAWK when we played Barca and the videos of the fans together, 'Pool fans chanting 'Barca' and their fans chanting 'Liverpool' (like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlIMM7okksc&feature=youtu.be). Proper class. Made me miss European football, but also so glad it was them who beat the Mancs. This is what European football is about. Sharing scarves, making friends, and showing respect. And Barcelona are a fantastic club.

And what source is that regarding Adam? Probably have a good shout saying by the end of the week, but I heard it would be done on the weekend (thats just been).
almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Ah, got it working! Some great stuff in there. I absolutely loved that Newcastle goal, Torres, Gerrard, Torres, goal. But you could see it all unfolding and the perfection of Gerrard's pass (which has a terrible angle in that video) is matched by a stunning finish. Tried to replicate that finish on the school field for weeks after!

Loved that Alonso goal against Arsenal, and twatting Madrid  happy days!

Agreed about Aquilani, would have him back in a heartbeat, although doesn't seem too keen. Think he's a tidy player though, and would suit Kenny's pass and move style! Hopefully we'll get plenty more moments like those in the future...

Nolan Roux?

Yeah, just reading that this morning. Don't know anything about him but he seems to be getting a good rep from the Ligue 1 followers.

Yeah. Think I'd prefer Wickham personally, but admittedly I don't know much about Roux.

Lameee, they can just have Ngog and we'll take him thank you very much. Just bid 13m and get Kenny to pay him a visit, should do the trick. he's back home now too, after a hugely successful U-21s with Pearce.

And yeah, Kop, brilliant thread about it on RAWK. Everyone is trying to work out if its fake etc. Carroll is the man, hahahaha.

Of course , Downing is now denying all knowledge!
2 interesting rumours re Adam ( I have a mate at work who's from Blackpool)
1: To City for lots of coin , Given to go the other way
2: To Villa for lots of coin and some no-names going the other way.

Not too sure I'm over bothered either way.
Re Marveaux , I'm glad that didn't pan out ; didn't understand the link in the first place.
