Fire brigade phones Arsene Wenger in the early hours of Sunday morning...
"Mr Wenger sir, The Emirates is on fire!"
"The cups man! Save the cups!" replies Arsene.
"Uh, the fire hasn't spread to the canteen yet, sir."

If you dont win, those cockney f**kers at Chelsea will have 6 points on us. Now I don't care if you kick, punch or headbutt your way to victory, you must win this. Good luck".

Then Fergie walks in & says, "Thanks ref, I'll take it from here".

buffon that is terrible stirring, but admittedly i did have a giggle.

But in seriousness, what have you mancs thought of valencia so far for united? I havent been too impressed, he looks a bit static for me. Do you think he'll be the business?

Yeh I do. If he had better crossing vision I feel 5+ goals would've come off him by now. Hopefully he'll click sooner or later and he'll be assisting every 5 seconds.

I think Valencia has shown signs of class and lets be honest... at Man Utd he will become double what he used to be... (most ppl who come to Old Trafford do). lets not forget that magnificent cross he produced against Wigan to assist Rooneys 100th United goal. He may become the vicitim of rotation as Fergie has to play Park, Nani, and eventually Obertan as well. But i think he will prove to be an awesome buy for seventeen mil pounds or whatever it was. Fergie recently said he was the quickest player in the squad and thats not a bad effort with the likes of Evra, Rooney Park and the Da Silvas in the team and if you look at him, hes a big winger so yeah he has been good so far and will only get better.

START HIM VS STOKE!!! PLS ahah

Well Scholes, Giggs, Van Der Sar Berbatov the list goes on. Only John Terry is old. But no opposition worries about John Terry owning your face of!

After the ripper of a job Fletch and Carrick did against City its got to be them in the center. Build up a strong partner ship imo.

I'm at a house without Sky this weekend only got enough Bandwidth to stream one game. United or Phoenix?? Michael2009-09-26 22:28:59

Once again Giggs was excellent when he came on. Great win against a very stubborn Stoke side who wont lay down for anybody.

Nani and Valencia....erm yeh im sure they'll get there in good time but its quite frustrating having both of them on the park at the same time. They both have a quick change of pace, then when they get to the box they slow right down by which point the forwards who have made their way to the centre of the box waiting for a ball in have lost all the momentum they had from running along with the play, hence Rooney's annoyance a few times today.

Bring on the germans in mid-week!

Told you Berbatov would score haha nah it was a sublime pass first from Fletcher to Giggs and then from Giggs to Berba. I was a bit disappointed with Valencia as he is my fav player... didnt have his best game it must be said. I was glad when they took Scholes off, he played well but boy any longer and he would surely have got another yellow card. Good win for United, Stoke always hard at the Britannia. COME ON WIGAN! WIGAN 3 Chelsea 1!

Sounds like a quote I would expect from a kid.

Rooney and giggs appear to be the only consistently decent attacking threats this season and when one of them wasn't there the side struggled - an own goal bagged the draw, not a decent piece of attacking play. That's me point.

ManU have always had a knack of getting results from unlikely positions - and i think that might be glossing over some pretty poor performances this year... if that stops happening your fellas might be in real trouble.

But in saying that, it will only take valencia, nani or berba to hit some real form and it might all change... the talent is there, just some of it aint hitting it's straps just yet.

I don't think Anderson has it tbh. Him and Nani have awful decision making and Anderson looks incredibly lazy, unless he's got a chance to score. Fletcher ftw.

actually i think Anderson has been one of our better players this season (excluding the Burnley game). i do kind of agree about Nani, he's too inconsistent.
however i've been hugely impressed with Berbatov in the past few games, he's been great

I don't think we would the title if there was a team around that is really good enough to win it, and Liverpool aren't (3 losses already), so I think Chelsea are the team in the way. Will have to see how Ancelotti goes, I do think they are favourites but Wigan made them look fairly ordinary, so maybe he will go the way of Scolari. If that does happen, we may get the points together to win.

Our defence needs to shape up, Edwin will help out when he gets back, Evans will be pushing Rio for his spot, and Berbatov is getting going up top. Nothing wrong with Anderson, some dumb decisions but he has the drive to succeed. Nani on the other hand, I've just about had enough of, despite his involvement in the Berba goal and we could sell him and bring in someone like Ashley Young.

We will have to wait and see. Certainly in a pretty good position at this stage I think, could've been a lot worse but we got the wins vs Arse and City.

lol always cracks me up whenever united drop points here or there, its "oh they havent got it this season" etc etc its been like that for the last god knows how many years in a row....totally hillarious listening to it!

Yep seem to be a bit more vulnerable at the back this season and we're leaking a few goals, show us another team who isnt..? The chances are still being created in games (even in the poo-ish sunderland game) if we were'nt creating chances then there'd be a bit more to be worrying about.

Damn work computer won't let me watch it. Will have to have a goosie tonight.

Paul Pogba cleared to play for United, judge dismissed Le Havre's case by claiming that there was no way we could have offered financial incentives to break a contract, when he had no contract in the first place.

Glad we can move on from that one, and hope he turns into a top player
