Hour and a half journey from Johnsonville this morning. Left home at 7.30 as usual to make the 7.45 train. Got on the train and announcement that there was a delay and it would be leaving at 8. Often runs about 10 minutes late anyway so didn't think too much of it. Then once we started moving there was an announcement that due to a signal fault we would have to get off at Ngaio for a replacement bus, then of course they didn't organise enough buses and I didn't get on the first 2 (and one guy even fell out of one when the door closed on him) so ended up waiting there in the rain for half an hour. Finally made it to work just after 9.

If they had announced the bus replacement before setting off at Johnsonville I'd have just got off and got the bus (and probably a lot of others would have too). But they didn't say that until we were moving so it was too late. My second last day at this job so being a bit late didn't matter too much. Glad it wasn't the first day at the new job.

yep I had that as well - there are signal faults every few days it seems. I wonder how they fix them? probably with a toothpick and some jelly.

I love the classic, the 8:36 service is cancelled, next service will depart at 8:54 or whatever, it's just the original service running 20mins later :P

Just perused my spam email folder and must say I am quite disappointed with the quality of spam these days.

I have 15 spam emails and ONLY ONE is from a single Russian woman (Tanya *heart emoticon*) and ANOTHER is from a Katie Larsen who wants to hook up cos she saw my profile "on this site".

As for the rest - no I don't want any fudgeing sunglasses, polo shirts or a sodding green card.  Just keep the single, fit, neurosurgeons flowing and one day I might try my luck.

I think your Friday nights will be spent scraping bits of food off the furniture and carpet, soaking clothes in napi-san and perving at Kathleen from Hi-5 or whatever the equivalent is these days.

On balance a bit more enjoyable than trying to get Tanya to send a pic of her without clothes and holding up a sign saying "I am a mugu."

our boss bringing in a temporary worker at our nursery(plants) who had the lurgee and gave it too all 3 of our workers and now between us we have had a week off and instead of being ahead with the extra worker we are now further behind because of the extra days off.

i seem to be having a bit of a pissed off day today next rant we have been waiting to get an upgrade on our broadband for the last month and are no closer now than we were a month ago, the reason we have been given for the upgrade not happening is that the wooden pole outside our house is being replaced by powerco sometime in the future, why can the powerco workers not change the wires from the old pole to the new pole when they replace the pole it just seems stupid to say you cannot upgrade because a pole is being changed sometime. at least give me a time frame just do not leave me hanging.

i have emailed powerco to ask them when the pole is being changed but they have chosen not to reply to my question

I feel your pain. We've been waiting I don't know how long for fibre to be connected to our house. We had to wait through a consent process just to get Chorus to the house, then after they'd visited they said that we need another consent to use the power poles (could be another 3 months).

Glad I didn't cancel my other service in the meantime!

We had to wait 6 weeks as they had to run a fibre optic cable from the pole into our place and then run it under and into the house.
