Nix 2 points off the top-6 with a game in hand over the 6th-placed team (Tards). You wouldn't think so, given the melancholy.

We'll have to get a move along soon!

yep apart from our effort - quite a few results have gone our way this wknd

we obviously need to rack up some points - but as you say it's still all doable in theory

This sounds suspiciously like rationality, and is unacceptable. Purge the non-believer! Down with Ricki! Down with the FFA!

Both this and last season we benefitted by having other results doing us big favours.

However even more so this season it is up to us to get wins (not draws) and hope that the Tards have a slump (other teams also but Tards is the one within reach)

Worst defence in the league. Who'd of thought?

2 points off a playoff spot with a game in hand and its the end of the world.

Hate to think what people would be like if we were bottom.

Allegedly

23 points between top and bottom.  Love to add to the W column.  I do not want to see 8 in the L column that is for sure.

I guess all will be reveiled by the end of the month. We play Jets, Hearts and Victory in the next week or so. These teams are in a cluster around us on the Table. If we don't pick up at least 5 to 6 points in those 3 games then it will  be really hard to have a go at the top 6.

Yeh - only half way through the season now
but sometime during those three games (plus Sydney after) we'll need to have come right and racked up some points
couple of tough games follow that run, v Adelaide, GCU

Now's the time

When you factor in games played the gap between the top 4 and the pack is a chasm.

When you watch games involving the top 4, and then the rest of the pack there's a chasm. Case in point, tonights two games.

We're so shiite its unbelievable!!!!!!!

The top 4 are so far ahead now that it would be near impossible to get near them.....so its a dog fight for the next 6 teams to take the last 2 playoff spots. On current form we don't have a show. But we are not out of the mix quite yet.

Perth are pretty much out imo, played too many games and got matches with Brisbane (we know how good they are) and NQF who are below them which will be crucial. NQF 4 points behind us with a game in hand, and have a better scoring and defending record. Same with Sydney.

But honestly if this continues and we don't pick up points soon, 2nd last becomes a real risk due to a hard draw, sydney will be a crucial game after the Melbounre ones. Then a tough match with Adelaide then GCU. Interesting Times, we've conceded 26 goals in 15 weeks, last year we conceded 29 in the whole round robin. So to those who say we're in a similar position to last year are frankly wrong. We'll be fighting tooth and claw for 6th place at best at this rate not 4th

That one win suddenly makes it look a bit better. If we managed to beat Victory ( will be tough - would take a draw) we'll be looking decent and it would lay a platform for the rest of the season.
