I think with a winning team, this is pretty easy.
I think the membership would be difficult but you are right, if the story is good the other numbers are easily manageable.
That’s an average though. So you’d get your usual crowd at the beginning of the season, then if it’s a good season the crowds will jump on the bandwagon toward the end of the season and bump the average up to around 10k (maybe with the help of a good well timed Auckland crowd)
I'd suggest that Rob is far more circumspect than old Gareth and I know who I think you're most likely to get the truth out of [however painful it might be for you Patrick and others].
Easy to ask questions to get the info to back anyone's slant on a topic. Just ask the RBB :-)

Why does being from NZ exclude someone from pushing for change in a competition of which they are a stakeholder?
Pushing for change in one competition also doesn’t stop someone from pushing for change in another competition. You can push for both to be better.

An accountant may correct me here but I thought it was established that WelNix / Investnix are an LP which severely limits the owners ability to claim losses but reduces their liabilities.

Just an observation, imagine if the shoe was on the other foot.
Its more that something must be really rotten in Australia if the only party benefiting out of the A-league is FFA while the clubs keep bleeding.

Also dont get why some pretty savy business men seem to think they can do something with a sports club that just donsnt happen in many parts of the world and thats be self sufficient. Especially in a market dominated by other sports.

It would be a surprise if they have not somehow structured for shareholders to offset losses in some manner

Doesn't the fact that WelNix is actually known as WelNix GP (as in General Partner) actually indicate that it's an LP though?
Brave interview .... don't think this will win any pink bats in Australia ... more over will increase calls for Welly Out...
EDIT: Gareth is as hes says a "Reluctant Owner" he has for some years now. But stays involved because they stay to save it for Wellington. Cost neutral is all the Clubs want.
FMD please go and find a post I made that has said we are safe..... in fact I have said the Mariners don't deserve to be in Hal at the moment on the Mariners forum... We are F...ed as well .... unless we change .... and on this forum I have said that before...
Just so you understand we are F.... ed as well ... we have a Little more history, 3 grand final appearances, two championships, winner pre-season competition...14 I think players after they played for us becoming Socceroos the current captain and three others in the starting line up.... the COE ... but we are still F....ed with our curent owner unless meaningful change is made.
Listen to what your owners said he trashed everything .... I hold by what I said it was a very brave interview ..
Socceroo/ Mariner / Whangarei

GM ranting again really isnt doing anything to strengthen our cause. Who would but the club when our existence in the league is under threat. So fudgeed off with the ownership right now. They bailed the club out when we were dying with the promise of a resurgence. This has never happened - not even close!!!

To be fair 14-15 was close.

I don't class 4th close and without Burns we would have finished a lot lower.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Luckily I was stating my opinion then and not yours.

But we did have Burns.
My first reaction to that Gareth interview was pretty negative.
But even if they just get the international windows, that will make a big difference.
Right now we develop kids and almost immediately loose the best of them to international call ups. All the hard work that goes into that actually handicaps us.
If we get to have them reliably playing for us AND making the NZ squad, then that's quite a big turnaround. It makes our natural advantage of being able to play kiwis work for us, not against us.
There is the potential for that to snowball. Better results. More local heros. Bigger crowds. Better finances and metrics. Easier to attract other good players. More 'Nix players in the international shop window, improves the pro pathway for Nix kids. Maybe even helps improve our relationship with NZF.

The answer is simple, we all buy Allbirds. Then, we all get our friends and family to buy Allbirds. The chain reaction starts, and soon everybody is wearing Allbirds. Allbirds becomes one of the world's most iconic shoe brands, and the company gets listed on the fortune 500. Tim Brown is now swimming in money, buy's the Nix off Gareth & co in a passion-fueled impulse purchase. He spends big on players, and entices two big name marquee signings to the club via the launch of the new Allbirds football boot range (surely would be the most comfortable boot in the world right), which has an exclusive deal with the Nix. Then we have a fantastic season, averaging crowds of 20,000. We win the grand-final against the Victory at a packed out Westpac, Siggy celebrates the final whistle by kicking Muscat in the head. Sarpreet Singh gets signed by Barcelona. Jacinda Ardern gives the go ahead for a golden statue of Brown outside the Beehive. Honestly it will be weird if this doesn't happen

The missing bit was glaring so I added it in
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Actually, they've poured quite a bit of money in by all accounts, and our performances and crowd attendance figures have not repaid that faith.

Actually, they've poured quite a bit of money in by all accounts, and our performances have not repaid that faith. Poor Crowd attendance figures are a direct result of that poor performance.

Yes, it's obviously an LP. All an LP means is that the partners pay their own tax so any losses flow through to the investors. An LP is a look-through for tax.
