At a guess, given his salary and import status, he is someone the new manager wants to look at in person first.

Possible return to the A-League for Paartalu can now be ruled out. Player is in the UK and considering options.

This account seems to be fairly accurate with their transfer rumours currently. I would have liked Paartalu here at the Nix, there really isn't any other good Aussie options floating around so we will need to use a visa slot on a DM.

Burns seems to be froozen out by FC Tokyo. Lets get him back!

Apparently Merrick flew to China to try and convince the Jets owners to give him the money to make Burns marquee.

He showed obvious frustration at the lack of talent around him + his family disruptions/earthquakes; can see why he didn't play well. Suspect he will have a terrific season at WSW.

I can see him spending half the season on their bench as Popovic constantly rotates his squad around.

Any word on if the club is resigning Lia?  if not would love for him to return to where it all started at south

James Troisi anyone? Hard to actually get a good team from what we have if we only have one import spot left.

Those figures were bandied around before he signed which at the time would have made him worth more than the likes of Berisha. I always assumed they were wrong. 

If that's the case we can get a bloody good foreign marquee player for that sort of dosh.

We should be able to replace him with a good foreigner, yes. Problem is he was a good NZ/Australian player, which we'll have to find from somewhere else to fill another position. Bill Tuiloma would allow us to fill a DM spot with a local.

Tuiloma would really be the perfect signing for this club right now. He even likes playing with WeeMac! :)

Having Tulioma would be absolutely amazing. But is there really a chance that we would be able to nab him?

Don't see why not. He's on the outer at Marseille and has barely played and first team football. If he wants to kick on in his career, he needs gametime.

For sure, we've got to try. He's having a torrid time at club level, i reckon he'd jump at the opportunity to come here

Sad to see Rodriguez go, but I think this gives us a chance to bring in a more defensively sound midfielder which will give our midfield better balance. Assuming Kalezic's "Dutch Style" means 4-3-3, I think our best team right now looks something like:

Sail

Lowry .  Durante .  Rossi .  Doyle

Ridenton .        McGlinchey

Finkler

Krishna .  Watson .  Parkhouse

Bench: GK, Fox, McGarry, Singh, Rogerson

Clear priorities looking at that are a goalkeeper, a right back, a defensive midfielder, and a couple of forwards.
