Nah, when it comes to Smeltz I feel like a jilted lover.

And it's not like he simply left me for somebody else, he's been shagging all over town!

I'm not sure I could trust him to keep his dick in his pants if we got back together.

All true, but if he knocked in double figure goals for us he'd quickly help us forget all the floozies he's been with.

I know, I know...

I just wish I wasn't such a sucker for these bad boy types. I know that they're going to hurt me but I just can't stop myself falling for them. Sigh.

Where the hell did the Harry Kewell rumour come from? How the hell would Terry afford that?

Wasn't he just being diplomatic when saying he wouldn't rule out coming here? I'd love to see him back but clives the moneybags and he'd pay Shane what he wants.

Bring back TonyP and Smeltz. I'd forgive.

Well - nothing to forgive TP for... SS though really needs to score 15 before we can begin to get over our trust issues... hope he hasn't caught too much whilst being out slapping... is his performance still up to scratch? Best to ask Miron...

Anyone know what Chris Killen is up to next season.?
If he ever gets sick of China he would be majorly OK for the Nix. Could we afford him?

Speaking of affording players, terrys money troubles and transfer talk, if jade north was to depart how much per yearwould you be willing to spend per year on a new centre back (and for that matter a new midfielder, assuming toto and Diego will leave?AucklandPhoenix2011-01-12 18:59:57

Terry's still busy working on his plan to free up cash for his IRD issues and that will free up cash for the Phoenix operating as well.

                  Vuko

Hearfield   Dura   The Sig   Lochhead

             The Muscat

Marco          Brown            Ifill

           Smeltzy
                  D-Mac

^ What, no North? I'd prefer The Sig and RFB and North and CB.
Otherwise agree though its tough on Greenie.

We think he will replace Ljubo Milicevic at the Jets. I would happily take Nikolai Topor-Stanley over Jade North, but we do need to move on from having three awesome centre backs and instead sign an awesome right back. In saying this, it would be great if Jade North stays. But you get the impression he would prefer Australia, if not overseas.

You'd take NTS over North? NTS is all force no skill.

No thank you.

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

He's a quality player. For a guy who is "all force" he picked up his first yellow card of the season the other night.

Topor-Stanley is a pretty wicked centre back, would gladly have for the Nix.
But agree with the above wicked right-back more important and a central attacking mid and an outrageous striker. Oh and another back up keeper.

Other than that we should fill the squad with young players like these guys

just because he doesn't pick up yellow cards doesn't mean he's good. I never insinuated he was a thug.

I don't think we're going forward if we picked up NTS

If he would be willing to come, I think he would be a very good piece of business. Still young, seems to have leadership qualties and a real presence at the back. Potentially the sort of player who could attract interest from Asian/middle eastern clubs (ie: Mckain) and someone we might actually get a transfer fee for in the future. Lord knows we need it

Mainly agree with you there mate.
I think a genuine RB, even an import, is much more vital than a CB. If the guy can fill in at the centre, then even better.

And yeah, rather than filling the youth quota with 20 year olds who dont qualify the year later, we should be getting a few younger guys who will grow and challenge for lineups a few years later. I've liked the look of some of these under 17 guys, and the likes of Lovemore for the A team
