From memory from the doc, his child may also have some health issues which would mean being around family would be important.
Yup his son (who would now be 4 or so?) has quite severe autism, there were a few episodes featuring work Mullin was doing with autism charities in the UK. Highly doubt that he would entertain anything outside of the Manchester/Liverpool area.

We have this obsession in NZ about scouring the pro leagues of Europe & to a lesser extent the US for players.  Eze was a great find last year and who had even thought of the Iraqi league?  What other gems are out there?

Or even closer to home...is someone like Monty Patterson worth a look.

NPL clubs are probably littered with players who developed in the A league academies but didn't get signed at age 20, so played NPL and developed a bit later.

Coaches just seem to have this obession that if they have signed somewhere once they must be good...it's certainly not always the case.

Yes. Could look at Paraguay for a player with the Tim Payne connection. Or Egypt. Or South Korea. Or Ghana/Senegal/Ivory Coast.

I think quite severe autism. The kid needs a very stable routine to remain healthy. I doubt moving half way over the world would be any good, and Mullin likely wouldn't consider it because of that.
