The wife and I tried Rarotonga for two weeks in August. Cheaper than Aussie, very laid back, and uses NZ currency. Had a wonderful time.
Wellington Phoenix drew 2-2 with Newcastle Jets in their A-League Men pre-season match in Australua today. Bozhidar Kraev with one goal and the other was an OG.
A bit worried about how thin our squad is in some places, but certainly looking forward to seeing the next generation force their way into the XI and knock off some more established names

I think that you're being too negative at this point. If Zawada scores 15 goals again. If Kraev can be better managed and maintain his form throughout the season. If Ball, who may not be the Captain, but is the team leader can stay fit. If we learn from our preseason and defend the flanks well. Then top 3. Too many ifs, and too few players but now is not the time to be negative.
Not only is this a young squad, but this must have been our weakest pre-season. Might be a slow start to the season.
As for predictions, most of the league is weakened and following a similar path to us. Those comments from Rudan about the A-League not being able to attract the talent it once did with the wages it pays seems pretty true.
Only two teams are using their 5 import slots.
I'd say top four is not realistic this season, but a finals berth should be.

Conchie is fully involved in training and can participate in any non-competitive games.
His ban is just for competitive games and ends round 1 (can’t remember if that means he can play R1 or has to wait for R2, I think he’s available for R1 though)

Technically is this a club stand down or an actual ban? Who has the jurisdiction on enforcing a ban across different governing bodies?

Ban was enforced by the club i think? Not as certain about that one. It also meant they didn't sign him as early as they would have - so payed him less
